About Me

As early as age 1 to the present, I have shared my life with many wonderful pets, some that you may not think of as typical pets, but pets that needed to be cared for.  Please read on. . . . . .

The Welsh Terrier in the picture to the left is Nova! She is a champion and has been with me since age 4.   I also have a picture of Nova and me on my contact page.  She's my best furry buddy and a smart, mischievous Welsh Terrier.  Nova hunts for critters and once found a box turtle in her backyard.  The turtle was relocated to a nearby stream and waddled off smiling, I'm sure.  Nova hunts for the squirrels too that she can't quite catch, however the other day, she came really close.

Some of my former best buds on the "BB" list include a rooster named George who begged food from the neighbor's backdoor.  I have been fortunate enough to have dogs, cats, parakeets, horses, cows, a bull and a pig.  Tropical fish and my friend, Amy's bearded dragons also made the "BB" list.

In Omaha, Nebraska, several years back before I migrated to Georgia, my son kept a 7 ft. Burmese python, an iguana, two ferrets, two hamsters, a cat and a Cayman alligator in his room.  We were known as "Henry Doorly West" (as in the world famous Henry Doorly Zoo on Omaha's east side, known for its pioneering work with breeding of endangered species).  I learned not to pet an alligator because they are lightning quick and those teeth - yikes!!!

I also cared for a pet squirrel named Mo who was not to be caged and loved to jump on your shoulder.  What a surprise when you least expect it especially when he would chew his way out of his plastic cage.

My daily routine at present includes caring for my husband, Ted, two dogs, Holy Nova and Brownie, the brown hound of sound and two horses, Sadieblu and Sugar. We all have a great time especially Nova when she gets to go for a walk with her best bud, Mom and her new dad, Ted.
If you own a horse and would like to join other horse enthusiasts, please join the West Cobb Saddle Up Club. It is a great group of people who love horses and riding. I have not joined any horsey groups in my area just yet.

I would love to care for your pets when you need a reliable, experienced and professional petsitter. If you visit my website but do not live in the Dacula or Buford, Georgia areas in Gwinnett County but need a pet sitter, go to Georgiapetsitters.com and type in your zip code.
Thanks for visiting my site, today.”

Thanks, happy trails and hope to hear from you soon, Lindy
